Early in 2006 Andrew Carsrud, his wife Jennifer, and their kids stepped out in faith and moved to Spearfish, SD to start a church for people who don't go to church.  Beginning at the Alpine Coffee Company with two families they began to meet and pray together about planting a church.

On Easter Sunday of 2007 True Life Church was officially launched, meeting at the Donald Young Center on the campus of Black Hills State University, where we still meet to this day.  Since then True Life Church has slowly grown into a family of passionate followers of Jesus Christ.
